Scripture of the Day ---Psalm 113: 1-4 -- Praise the LORD! Praise, O servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD! Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore! From the rising of the sun to its setting the name of the LORD is to be praised! The LORD is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens!

Word of the Day --- homesteaded -- past tense of verb"to homestead" - moved on to some rural land, built a house and subsequently conducted farming operations - (and, in the case of certain US government land, filed a claim for eventual owneship of the land under the provision of the Homestead Act)

Place of the Day --- Stranger, Texas, USA -- 31°19'36"N, 96°43'30"W - A settlement (possibly just a single ranch) on Ranch Road 1771, about 9 miles east of the town of Marlin, the county seat (Falls County), and roughly 25 miles SE of the city of Waco. [If there's a name of a popuated place on a map that Google Earth can find, Place of the Day may go there.]
